Food Positivity
The goal of this project was to educate my peers on the harmful effects of diet culture and to show them a benefit of rebuilding one's relationship with food. I have updated this poster to talk about the work I do in the community as a local Miss America titleholder.

Take It to the Limit
In my piece, I wanted to show no one ever goes the speed limit. It’s never consistent or anything like that; we are always above or below, and that is how I have lived my life.

Where I Can Find Peace
This project was one I did for a class, but it means a lot to me in the way that I chose one of my favorite places to reflect and try to understand how my brain is working that day.

Anthropomorphic Animals Through Illustration
The goal of this project was to explore the ways that human characteristics can be given to animals to create fun and potentially useful illustrations. I found that by observing the animals myself I was able to make illustrations that could become successful children’s book characters.

Developing a Discrimination Load Paradigm: Examining Associations Between Race and Schizotypy
We aimed to see how Black participants’ levels of reactivity to discriminatory stimuli interact with schizotypy traits. In response, Black participants showed significantly greater reactivity than White participants; however, there was not a significant interaction for reactivity with race and overall schizotypy, but there was a significant interaction with negative schizotypy and race.

Drug Culture in the Dominican Republic: Spring Break Study Abroad
The drug culture in the Dominican Republic is both incredibly similar and incredibly different than the drug culture here in the United States. This opportunity to study abroad and investigate these differences, as well as to learn about the mental health care, was a fundamentally changing experience that offered a glimpse into global health.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Mental Health Treatment in the Context of Objective Versus Subjective Trauma
The goal of this study was to examine objective and subjective definitions of trauma exposure and their utility in predicting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms. Preliminary findings suggest that, while objective definitions of trauma exposure (e.g., DSM-5 Criterion A events) are at times significantly associated with PTSD symptoms, a strong correlation also exists between subjective definitions of trauma and PTSD symptom severity.
