Tyler knew he wanted to be a Jaguar after his first tour. He described the atmosphere around IUPUI as positive and uplifting, and it felt like a “home away from home”. To him, being a Bepko Scholar means continuing the legacy of dedication in community service and leading others to follow in that same path. A recipient of the Presidential Service Award, he is already a leader in his own community as a co-founder of Teens for Tobacco Twenty-One, which advocates for the prevention of youth tobacco use. His was also the president of Miles for Merry Miracles, an organization that collaborates with the community to provide clothes and food to hundreds of children each holiday season. His favorite hobbies include theater and dance, and he has performed in over 20 productions.
