Major: Visual Communications Design
Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
High School: Homeschooled

One might say Michael is a “jack of all trades”: gifted artist, high-achieving student, community volunteer, and champion sailing and rugby athlete. True to Bepko Scholar fashion, he chose IUPUI because of its proximity to his community, where he is a committed volunteer with the Indy Dream Center and the iCan Bike Program. To him, being a Bepko Scholar means leading by example and putting his best foot forward to achieve what he sets out to do and inspire his peers to do the same. He plans to engage in every opportunity to make a difference locally and he hopes that his passion for design will help encourage people to appreciate life, community, and each other.

Dean welcome message

 Dear Michael,

We are very pleased to welcome you to Herron School of Art and Design. I have enjoyed our recent conversations and I greatly look forward to working with you as the semester begins. This fall, Herron begins its 119th year. I am excited for you to add your own chapter to Herron’s long, rich history.

My very best,
Greg

Greg Hull, Professor and Interim Dean, Herron School of Art and Design
