Major: Exercise Science
Hometown: LaPorte, IN
High School: LaPorte High School

Inspired by her parents and high school athletic trainer, Abigail chose IUPUI to pursue a career in physical therapy. IUPUI made her feel at home with warm welcomes from students and staff alike. To Abigail, being a Bepko Scholar means experiencing all of what IUPUI has to offer, getting involved on campus and in the city, and going beyond her comfort zone. With her variety of interests and accomplishments, Abigail is well prepared to make her mark. As the president of Girl Reserves Club, she has inspired girls to be their best selves and give back to the community. She also organized a project to benefit the local animal shelter through collecting both monetary and physical donations. When she’s not out in her community, Abigail loves playing with her dog Cosmo, baking, and catching up on Netflix shows.

Dean welcome message

Dear Abby,

On behalf of all the faculty and staff of the School of Health & Human Sciences, I would like to welcome you to our school. I’ve been teaching at IUPUI for over 24 years, and I know you’ll love it here. This is great a campus and city with many opportunities for you to engage. I look forward to meeting you this fall as a member of the School of Health & Human Sciences Class of 2024!
